PVO introduces the latest generation of panels from GCL

PVO is introducing the latest generation of solar panels from the Chinese PV manufacturer GCL in the Dutch market. The Cast Mono solar panels combine 2 solar cell technologies.

GCL is originally specialized in solar panels based on polycrystalline silicon solar cells. The company is now combining polycrystalline and monocrystalline solar cell technology, with which it is the first company to develop a counterpart to the monocrystalline perc solar panels.

The new generation of solar panels from GCL has emerged from the question of whether it is possible to offer a solar panel with high efficiency such as monocrystalline solar panels, but with a low price of polycrystalline solar panels. With the Cast Mono solar panels, GCL can answer this question with a yes.

The solar panels are 99 percent monocrystalline and 1 percent polycrystalline. Thanks to the quasi-monostructure and 2 percent larger cells, the solar panels deliver the same efficiency. The yield currently varies between 325 and 335 watt peak. The entire product line of the Cast Mono solar panels is produced by GCL in the new factory in Zhenjiang.
